On Thursday May 19th of 1994 Alina Meyers went to school just like any other day. In the middle of her third period class she began feeling a bit uneasy and after being sent to the school nurse she discovered that she was in labor. Just after midnight of May 20th she gave birth to a little girl. Alina wasn’t prepared to be a mother and tried to hide the pregnancy from everyone including her boyfriend – the father of the little girl. Alina’s parents Frank and Carol were not happy with the idea of their little girl having a baby so young and unmarried but they were also extremely racist and the little girl that Alina had just given birth to was a mixed race baby. Alina was given three months to find a place for herself and her daughter Tashanna to live. With tears in her eyes she searched endlessly for a place that would allow a new mother and her child to move in with little to no income. Luckily Maggie, the grandmother of Alina’s boyfriend took both Alina and Tashanna in and let them stay as long as they needed to in order to make ends meet.

Growing up Tashanna learned to be a fierce and independent woman. Her mother, paternal grandmother and paternal great grandmother were very involved in her upbringing and did their best to make sure that she knew she was loved but that she was strong and could take on the world and make her stage. Though Danny Gregory, Tashanna’s biological father wasn’t exactly an involved parent she knew of him and had some time with him and his new family. When Tashanna was two years old Danny and his now wife Cheryl welcomed into the world a baby girl whom they name Kaytee, three years after that they welcomed a baby boy named Danny jr and then they divorced. Tashanna’s mother Alina married when Tashanna was five and a year later welcomed their first child together Christina and then two years late a baby boy named Lucas. Danny remarried and had a daughter named Justice with his most recent wife Kayla.

During school Tashanna overachieved. She had high hopes for herself and wanted to become a nurse practitioner. She made the honor roll nearly every quarter and the merit roll the rare times that she didn’t make honor roll. She spent time in choir, FCCLA, Band, and played volley ball and ran cross country. She was on the student council all four years of high school and was in the honor society for three of the four years in school. Unfortunately she followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a mom while in high school. She became pregnant over Christmas break during her junior year of high school. She still kept her grades up and refused to drop out of school. She didn’t let her pregnancy affect her schooling and asked her fellow class mates not to bring attention to it and do what they needed to get their grades up.

Tashanna and her boyfriend who was away at college welcomed into the world a beautiful baby girl on September 15th, 2011. Their daughter September was the apple of Tashanna’s eye. But not so much for her deadbeat father, he ran off back to college and refused to help with anything monetarily or even emotionally. Tashanna hated knowing that September was going to have the same relationship with her father as she had with her own. Tashanna made it through school and decided that she needed to gain employment and get her and her daughter a place of their own and then fight for what was rightfully theirs from September’s father. Tashanna got a job as a cashier at The Home Depot and a few months of saving up allowed her the chance to get an apartment and a few items with the help of her great grandmother to make the house a home.

The Home Depot is where she met a young man by the name of Devin. He was a blue eyed cutie that didn’t know how to take no for an answer. At first Tashanna kept rejecting his advances. He was persistent and very sweet about how he tried to make his move. She just wanted to focus on work and taking care of her daughter and didn’t want to jump into a relationship. She hated the idea of becoming involved with someone when her heart was still aching over her ex dumping not just her but their innocent daughter like they were trash meant for the dump. She finally agreed to go to lunch with him and eventually she began opening up to the man. A little over a year into their budding relationship the two of them found out that they were going to be parents. Scared Tashanna didn’t want to tell him and had even considered having an abortion. She couldn’t bring herself to give one child life and snuff life out of another. Throwing caution to the wind she decided that if she can raise one on her own she could raise two. Devin and Tashanna welcomed into the world their little girl Faith Marie on (dob here). This time Tashanna had a very loving and supportive partner involved and he wasn’t going anywhere.

Tashanna is versatile she is excited by a wide variety of subjects and loves to keep her hands busy by trying diverse activities. She doesn't like to stick with the mundane tasks. She is quite enthusiastic and full of life. She is always craving accomplishment and learning anything that seems interesting. She is soft-spoken but blessed with amazing communication skills; this helps her out a great bit when trying to up-sell people or gets a person to apply for the store credit card. She is very witty and humorous. She can get someone laughing effortlessly with her natural charm and spontaneity. She is a born intellectual and wants to consume knowledge as much as many want to consume food. She will not shy away from voicing her opinion.

Negatively she can lack consistency this mostly has to do with her craving for learning new things. She can be a bit superficial. She tends to judge others because of this and she feels terrible afterward. She lack's the ability to make a decision. If you want to take her out to eat you might as well just pick the place and let her complain or compliment because she will take forever to decide where she's going and even longer to choose what she will eat there. She has a lack of direction and needs to be pointed the right way. She needs to be lead because if she isn't she tends to just try everything. She is also very anxious and full of energy and overexerts herself because she takes on more than she can handle.
