James “Jamie” Michael Feerick was brought into the world on November 28th, 1989 in Chicago, Illinois. From the start Jamie had a rough life. His biological mother Amanda Feerick was a 15 year old former honor student and his biological father was Thaddeus Dixon, her 32 year old honors English teacher. Yes, that is right Jamie was the product of an illicit, illegal student-teacher relationship. Growing up Jamie thought his biological mother was his sister. Being raised by his maternal grandparents Michael and Ruth Feerick alongside his aunts and uncles he never had a clue that there was something wrong other than not feeling whole. His grandparents did not treat him any differently. It wasn’t until his grandfather passed away when Jamie was 10 that he found out the truth, by reading the obituary that named Jamie as a grandchild instead of his child. That was the point when Jamie’s entire world was flipped upside down. He had just lost the only father he had known, twice in one fell swoop.
After finding out that his whole world was a lie, Jamie began hanging out with the “wrong” crowd. He began letting his grades slip, skipping school, smoking cigarettes, and starting fights with everyone and everyone. His misbehavior escalated quickly, he turned to alcohol and experimenting with drugs. At the age of 16 Jamie dropped out of high school to spend more time partying and trying to forget every terrible thing that he had ever found out about his life, his family and the world around him. At the age of 18 he found himself in a bit of trouble. He was arrested for stealing; this was the first of many arrests in young Jamie’s future many of which were related to theft, burglary and drugs. His last stint landed him in prison for a year where he obtained his GED and decided to turn his life around (for the most part).
During his years in high school he had been dating the sister of one of his brother Mark’s best friends. The two of them were hot and heavy and full of bad mistakes and empty promises. They had become pregnant at nearly sixteen years of age. Kaitlyn had been his world and this news about being pregnant was the very reason he decided to drop out of school and try to make money any way he could. He wanted to provide for his expecting family. But his whole world came crashing down once more when Kaitlyn confessed to him that she had gone and had an abortion, This soul crushing news sent Jamie into an even further drug abuse spiral and made him not trust any woman who would come into his life afterward. He broke up with Kaitlyn and refused to speak to her even though she had still held his heart.
At the age of nineteen Kaitlyn and Jamie's world would change forever. Their relationship was rocky. He was still having issues trusting women in his life and especially Kaity after the abortion. So when she came to him and told him that they were expecting he nearly went catatonic. He denied the pregnancy for a very long time. On March 15th, 2009 they welcomed into the world a very healthy and happy little bundle of joy named Mollie Grace Feerick. Even though he didn’t want to fully admit she was his, she had been the light of his life. He held her, sang to her and gave her the world. Even when he and Lori split he had been there for mother and child and to this day remains friendly with Lori and not just for the sake of their little girl.
When Jamie and Kaity's relationship ended he met a beautiful but damaged girl. She was someone that he saw as a perfect match for him. They both enjoyed self destruction and getting wrecked. The two of them began as a hot and heavy and very passionate affair that turned into something Jamie could really see himself being in for the rest of his life. But like before with Kaitlyn, they became pregnant and he denied the pregnancy.On March 20th, 2012 they welcomed a baby girl into the world. Once he saw his baby girl Emerson in his arms he could no longer deny her. She was a gorgeous little creature with her mother’s smile. Though Jamie and her were off and on he was never apart from his daughter. She and Jamie continued to have an on and off relationship through him dating other women, including his high school girlfriend Kaitlyn. She and Jamie continued to have an up and down, rollercoaster relationship for four years.
Quickly after his relationship with Des ended for the final time he began a downward spiral of condusion and nearly ended his life on several occasions due to his own hand or his own stupidity. He explored his sexuality and nearly fell for a man that he had become quite fond of over the years. He finally admitted to having feelings for his best friend and occasional hook up Gina Laurenti. The two of them quickly fell into the romance role and are now engaged and expecting their first child together, though neither of them are telling anyone that she is pregnant and hoping they can keep both of their mouths shut for as long as possible.
Jamie recently expressed very openly how he has fallen in love with another man. He is quite confident in making this announcement and it has lifted some stress off of his mind. After leaving a heartfelt note to the man he loves he headed to New Jersey to marry the newest mother of his child. He wasn't able to get the other man out of his mind but he knew that it wasn't meant to be. When he was settled into his motel room the other man had surprised him by making the journey by himself to come see him. Jamie was very impressed by this display and he was very honest with Gina and told her that they wouldn't last. He then hastily married Peyton in a quick ceremony in Brooklyn.
After two months of marriage to Peyton the two of them could not patch things up. The love they once thought they held was nothing more than a fleeting hope to have their friendship turn into much more. Peyton couldn't let go of his feelings for his ex boyfriend Gianni and Jamie still harbored feelings for Gina. With them all living under one roof Peyton and Tim wound up having an affair. The last straw was when it had happened while Gina and Jamie were in the hospital with their son who was born prematurely. Now Peyton is on his own and exploring a relationship with Gianni - Gina's brother. And Gina and Jamie are back in each others arms.
Currently Jamie still struggles with his inner demons, he has attempted suicide several times and he still has a drug problem. He has gone in and out of rehab but has a relapse cycle. He works as a tattoo artist while he attempts to gain a bigger audience with his stand up comedy, a coping mechanism for his pain and an outlet for his artistic talents. He has refused to go back to his lifestyle of stealing from others, though he has been tempted a few times due to money woes.
Jamie has a personality that of a natural leader and can be overflowing with confidence, audacity and high levels of energy. Though his personality is open to change and new experiences and he can often be single-minded and self-obsessed. The chase is often more exciting than the end result. Jamie thrives on challenge and believes that he can conquer the world. Often he feels insecure underneath the external boasting, others are rarely aware of it. He is a generous provider and loves to be acknowledged for this trait. Others love being around him because of the enthusiasm that he carries with him. On the reverse, Jamie can also be obstinate, egotistical, inconsiderate and prone to pursue goals simply because they're there. Jamie often lacks tact due to his spontaneous nature. People don't always like his bossiness and can be afraid to cross him while arguing.
Standing at five foot six inches tall, he is covered in so many tattoos that he has lost count. Jamie tends to have a slouch when he stands and when he sits he ends up fidgeting quite a bit. He has a style all of his own. Typically he wears jeans, t-shirts and flannel shirts but has been known to pair each with other items, he calls his style Jamie style but it tends to vary between ghetto gangster to urban hipster. He is often found wearing a beanie cap or a baseball cap. His hair is currently worn in a man bun with a blonde streak in his bangs but he adopts various hairstyles on a whim.
